Plan of the town of Serpeisk, Kaluga Province
Subject:
urban history
Description:
The Serpeiska River flows right through town, with the larger space on the right bank and the smaller chunk on the left bank.
Bridges allowed passage over the water in the center of town and near the meat shops, but if you happened to be at the brewery on the north end of town hoping to get from the east side to the west, you might just have to swim.
