This banya is in the southwest corner of town, on the Kharkov River.

Multiple locations are noted on the legend, which is natural given the size of Moscow. However, the image quality is less than ideal and as a result it is difficult to match the legend items with numbered sites on the plan.

On the left bank of the Educh' River - a place where the river is quite wide. Next to the meat shops (9).

This multipurpose - or simply as-yet-undefined-purpose - site sits at the northern edge of the town center, on the left bank of the Sura River. It is just downstream from the town wharf.

On the western edge of town, almost off the map. The banya is also on the edge of the area of spring flooding of the Syzran, next to the space reserved for leather factories (10).

The baths are on the Studenets River on the western edge of town, not far from the meat and fish shops (8).

Imagine finishing work at the brewery (7), emerging into the evening light, heading east to the bridge over the Zhizdra River and walking along the right bank of the river past the town walls, out into the relative liberation of the banya.

This location is unlike most of the others, wedged between the sites of the slaughterhouse (10) and blacksmith (8).

This plan hits us over the head with the fact that it is, well, a plan. For what might happen at some point in the future. And in Buinsk, at some point in the future, there might be a public banya here. And it might or might not find itself alongside…
